Sprinkle Edges on Cupcakes
Rachael TeufelDescription
With a large round piping tip and American-style crusting buttercream, Rachael walks you though icing mini cupcakes to create a smooth top with even edges, similar to fondant. Then Rachael applies three types of sprinkles—tiny round nonpareil sprinkles, colorful tubular jimmies, and sanding sugar in three different styles. First, she applies sprinkles to the entire cupcake, then only the edges, and lastly just the top. Rachael also shares her tips and tricks on using a crusting buttercream with the powdered-sugar method.
With a few sprinkles and a little twist of the wrist, you can have adorable mini cupcakes in a matter of moments! Check out Fun Ways to Use Sprinkles for more great ideas on how to use sprinkles.
